God Made My Feet: A Toddler Bible Lesson on God's Creation

One of the wonderful things about teaching toddlers is helping them discover that God created every part of them with purpose.
In our June Week 2 lesson, children learn that God made their feet and that their feet help them do many important things every day. Through Scripture, movement, music, crafts, and hands-on activities, they begin to understand that their bodies are gifts from God.
This Week's Bible Focus
Psalm 139:14 "I will give thanks to You, because I am awesomely and wonderfully made;
Wonderful are Your works, And my soul knows it very well."
As part of our June theme, God Made Me, this lesson helps children recognize that God intentionally created them.
Young children are naturally aware of what their feet can do. They run, jump, dance, march, tiptoe, and stomp. This lesson connects those everyday experiences to the truth that God made them and cares about every part of them. The storybook does a great job connecting this back to God.

Toddler Truth: God Made My Feet
Simple truths are powerful for young children. By repeating this statement throughout the lesson, children begin building a foundation for understanding that they are wonderfully made by God.

3 Simple Ways to Reinforce This Lesson
1. Move Together
Invite children to march, jump, tiptoe, dance, and stomp while repeating the lesson truth: "God made my feet." Connecting movement with learning helps toddlers remember what they are being taught.
2. Talk About What Feet Do
Point out the many ways God uses our feet every day. Feet help us walk, run, play, help others, and go to church. Helping children recognize these everyday blessings builds gratitude for the bodies God created.
3. Thank God for His Creation
End the lesson with a simple prayer of thanksgiving. Encourage children to point to their feet and say, "Thank You, God, for my feet." Even simple prayers help toddlers begin developing a personal connection with God.
My Experience in the Classroom
One thing I love about this lesson is how naturally it connects learning with movement.
Toddlers don't just hear the lesson—they get to experience it. Children especially enjoy marching, dancing, and practicing the different ways their feet can move. The activities create opportunities for laughter and participation while reinforcing the simple truth that God made them. Sometimes the best learning happens when little feet are moving.
Our Heart Behind These Resources
I remember the frustrations I had with curriculums when I began teaching children's Ministry several years ago. From being voluntold to the classroom or going there with a joyful heart, its much easier when the lessons are practical, easy to teach, and not overly resource expending.
