Humble Exception is a faith-centered creative brand focused on meaningful resources, handmade creations, and purposeful work designed to encourage everyday life.
What began as a small creative outlet has grown into a collection of faith-inspired printables, children’s ministry curriculum, handmade woodworking, crafts, jewelry, organization resources, and practical creative services — all centered around creating things with purpose, authenticity, and heart.
At its core, Humble Exception exists to encourage creativity, support meaningful work, and create thoughtful products and resources that inspire, uplift, and serve others in practical ways.
From handmade creations to ministry materials, every part of Humble Exception is built around the belief that creativity can be both meaningful and impactful when created with care and purpose.
Our Story
Humble Exception began long before the name ever existed.
Creativity has always been part of our family. It was something passed down from my dad — the ability to build, create, imagine, and see beauty and possibility in simple things. Growing up, creativity became more than just a hobby for me. It became a safe place. A place of peace. A place where I felt connected to my purpose and the Creator Himself, whose love I felt unconditionally during those moments.
Over time, that love for creativity grew into a deep appreciation not only for handmade work and creative expression, but for creative people themselves — the people who quietly carry incredible gifts, ideas, skills, and talents that often go unseen.
After earning my degree and beginning work within the community, I spent years helping individuals navigate difficult situations and trying to help stabilize lives that often felt overwhelmed by hardship, limitations, or circumstances beyond their control. During that time, I realized something important:
Most people were not untalented.
Most people were not lazy.
In fact, many of them were incredibly skilled, creative, intelligent, and capable. Despite their inability, they wanted meaningful work, and they yearned for purpose. They wanted the opportunity to contribute, support themselves, and feel proud of what they could offer.
What they often lacked was support.
Sometimes all a person needed was someone willing to help bridge the gap — a little encouragement, organization, guidance, opportunity, or belief in what they were capable of creating.
That realization became the foundation for Humble Exception.
What started as a personal creative outlet slowly became something much deeper: a mission-centered space built around creativity, meaningful work, encouragement, faith, and the belief that people deserve opportunities to use the gifts they’ve been given.
Today, Humble Exception brings together faith-inspired resources, children’s ministry curriculum, handmade woodworking, crafts, printables, and creative projects that are built with purpose and heart. But beyond the products themselves, the vision has always been bigger.
Humble Exception exists to help create opportunities for people to use their creativity and skills in meaningful ways — especially those who may struggle with traditional paths, limitations, disabilities, overwhelming life circumstances, or the business side of turning their talents into something sustainable.
The name “Humble Exception” reflects the heart behind everything we do:
remaining humble in spirit while striving to create something meaningful, encouraging, and set apart.
This has never been about perfection.
It’s about creating with purpose, serving with heart, and helping people rediscover the value of what they already carry inside them.
